So you know how I mentioned the new Goodwill in my last post? Oh my gosh, that place was bumpin'. Three parking lots full of people were in that store. I'm not exaggerating either. Who knew that Goodwill grand openings were so popular? I couldn't even bear the thought of going inside. Lucky for me, they had a donation drive thru. Check!
5 tank tops
23 t-shirts-t-shirts are the epitome of clutter, especially when you went to a small private college and you got t=shirts what seemed like once a week. I have soooo many t=shirts still, but I feel like these 23 made a huge dent. I intend on making a t=shirt quilt, so I'm holding on to some for that.
pair of jeans-this was my pair for wearing when I knew I might get dirty, but they are just too big and I have another pair that qualifies.
pair of capris
pair of boxers-seriously had these since the fourth grade. They now how holes in them
(side note: in german they don't consider pants plural. I remember learning that and thinking it was kind of strange, only because it was different to what I was used to, not so much because it didn't make more sense. But only now in this challenge do I find it strange that we consider pants to be plural because it's really only one item)
night shirt-never really liked it, but have matching bottoms. I kept those and am getting rid of the top.
tote bag-given to me as a gift for high school graduation. I have what seems like a thousand other bags so I'm willing to get rid of this one. I anticipate more bags being featured in this challenge in the near future.
wine carrying bag-apparently if you buy wine from Kroger they give you one of these bags. I hardly ever buy wine, and not enough to need a special bag. While I'm sure I could put it to use some other way, I'd rather not.
2 boxes-I was holding on to these because I still feel really guilty about the fact that I have a TV and occasionally watch it. Thought about returning the converter box and antanea, but kept the information in them in case I end up selling them on craigslist or giving them away.
2 pillows-they are covered in fake flowers. They were given to me as a gift and I seriously thought about keeping them as a conversation piece, but they are heinous (in my opinion) so I'll try to find them a home where they might be more appreciated.
picture frame-a little too kitchy for my taste.
2 devotional books-will try to take these to the used book store, but if not I think one of the girls I babysit would put it to good use.
Used pens-went through another stack of pens and these are going in the trash
2 decks of cards-one is really large and one is really small; I'm not blind nor am I a little person.
5 kids toys
Can of shaving cream-took this in from my neighbor because I really love the idea of not paying for necessities, and because I knew I could get rid of it quickly if I wanted. It can be used either wet or dry, and my friend Laura often shaves her legs in the car (while others are driving of course) and I thought she'd love this.
Little trinkity thing-it says, "shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll land among the stars." It's actually really cute and I like it, but I don't need it.
Pendant-the necklace that it could go on was part of my last decluttering round and I don't really want it, so I'm going to try to consign these items.
4 rings
3 bracelets
3 necklaces
2 pairs of earrings
12 earrings with no match-they are all silver, so I'm going to try to sell these for dollars
